Horseshoe Cincinnati has committed to hire more than 90% of its workforce from the Greater Cincinnati area. Horseshoe Lake Charles does not have a self-serve beverage center so you are at the mercy of two or at most three phantom waitstaff who never appear at the same place twice. Beverage service is almost non-existent here. The training is four hours a day with flexible training schedules to accommodate candidates who work or have other obligations. The gaming tables and the slot machines are spread out inside this large casino and the variety of slots is average.
In addition to table games openings, non-gaming and other casino positions will be posted throughout the fall and early winter to round out the casino's 1,700 member team prior to the planned spring 2013 opening. We're looking for people with great attitudes, with upbeat and positive personalities that can come in and help entertain our guests.' We will train for the skills needed so no experience necessary. I think its a big surprise to folks that they do not have to pay to go out and do these types of positions. 'It will be a 12 week training program for our table games operators and supervisors and it will be free of charge to the public. Rexroat-Steele says the candidates who make it through the screening process will be invited to a hiring event in late September and training starts in November.
